Jenny Ouellet
Biography

Jenny Ouellet is a Montreal-based painter. Her work explores the tensions between structure and chaos through a dialogue between abstraction and figuration, addressing fragile environmental, social, and communication systems rooted in contemporary experience.
With a background in management information systems and studies in sculpture at Concordia University, she has developed a painting practice influenced by data systems. Her visual language brings together structure and instinct through modular, geometric, and fragmented compositions, offering a reflection on mechanisms of saturation and the alteration of reality.
Her work has been exhibited in Canada, France, and England, notably at the Maison de la culture Mercier in Montreal and Domaine Trinity in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. In 2025, she was selected to participate in the 7th London Art Biennale.
A member of the RAAV since 2015, she continues a rigorous pictorial research practice focused on the imbalances shaping contemporary society.
